That logo won't do

Hi, I saw File:Turkish Wiki logo.png... I appreciate your effort, but logos for wikis are not 480x360, nor are they screenshots of Scratch backdrops. I see that you tried to include all the countries that speak Turkish in your logo, but that went far too wide. I recommend you instead include them the way that the DACH wiki does, of course with the correct flags. But no matter what, a 480x360 logo is not the way to go; please change it. (The resolution I recommend is 135x135, to match the other wikis, but that's not a hard requirement - just make sure it would fit in the same place that the Test wiki's logo fits now.)

Thanks for reply.I fixed logo.

Get help

Hi, I really appreciate all your work translating into Turkish! The Turkish wiki is the most active one since the French wiki, and that one became a real wiki :)

But for a wiki to become real, it also needs a community. I recommend you start advertising the Turkish wiki on your profile (by linking to it, not just mentioning it) and on the forums. If there's anything I can do to help advertise, I'll gladly do that as well. Make sure to get a good number of people to help you - a Wiki is not a one-person job! I recommend at least 2 or 3 more people, and I also recommend that you keep trying to get more people to help, since inevitably some people become inactive.

Again, I appreciate your enthusiasm!

I know, but nobody wants to join to the Wiki, users are inactive(Example: User:Kahve;I sent a message in Scratch,he said "I will come back" but he's still inactive) or their English are weak(IP ban section).I'm helping them, but isn't working;they are losing enthusiasm.I should change something in forums,I think.I added link to my forum signature and my user page in Scratch.I hate nobody wants to join to the Wiki, but I haven't found a solution yet. Thanks for post.

└─post by Ahmetlii (talk|contribs) 20:17, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

Linking in your signature and profile page is a good start! If it's difficult, don't worry too much about it - just make sure to remind people to join if they're interested. Do you have any friends who use Scratch? You might consider getting them to help as well.

I remind them.Thanks
Yes,I had a friend use Scratch website but he quitted Scratch website forever. Thanks for all replies and help.

Remember to translate namespace names

For pages that start with "Tur:Scratch Wiki:" or "Tur:Scratch Wiki talk:" I recommend you translate everything past the "Tur:". For example, if "wiki" in Turkish is "viki" (it's not) and "talk" is "diskussion" (it's not), the pages should start with "Tur:Scratch Viki" or "Tur:Scratch Viki diskussion". Makes sense?
└─post by kenny2scratch (talk|contribs) 10:26, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

I understood.I'm sorry,I thought like "Wiki standarts are working in every language."I must change something because;for example,"w" don't use in Turkish-using "v"-,"talk" is "konuşma" in Turkish-I'm not sure,I should look at mean-,Category is "Kategori".Thanks for help.
└─post by Ahmetlii (talk|contribs) 20:17, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
Note Note: I have a question about "template:":How can I translate "template:" because it's about the Wiki's codes,I guess. I'm really bad at wikitext(I'm beginner in Wikitext and C++.I didn't know what are CSS,JS and HTML 2-3 months ago :P)
Did I not mention it? Oooof...
Templates are translated at Template:Tur/(template name). For example, Template:Shortcut should be translated as Template:Tur/kısayol. Note that you don't need the :Eng: part at the top for templates.
└─post by kenny2scratch (talk|contribs) 12:02, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
Okay.I understood...We must tranlate like Category:Tur/--- in templates,right? I understood.Thanks for reply.
└─post by Ahmetlii (talk|contribs) 07:14, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
For categories, Category:Tur/... yes
For templates, Template:Tur/...
Et cetera.

For your information, the S in S:SHORTCUTs stands for "Scratch Wiki" and not "Shortcut". (On Wikipedia, shortcuts are prefixed "WP:".) Unless "Scratch Wiki" in Turkish starts with a K, I recommend you switch to "S:". :)
└─post by kenny2scratch (talk|contribs) 12:30, 6 April 2019 (UTC)

Thanks.I will change them.I understood.Thanks :)

You don't need to worry about bot shortcuts

Hi, I saw you translated some of the "Bot shortcut" pages and shortcut names... you don't need to worry about it because bots only exist on the English wiki. FYI :)

Also, where do you get the time to do all this? Thank you for continuing to be so active :D
└─post by kenny2scratch (talk|contribs) 13:42, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

But I had huge plans...(Example:WikiMonitor into the Turkish Wiki)However, thanks.
Note Note: I found time from weekends and nights (with a cup of tea) :)

└─post by Ahmetlii (talk|contribs) 15:06, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

We can worry about bots on the Turkish wiki when there's a need - for now, there aren't enough people for WikiMonitor to warn ;)
Coffee-induced hyperactive editing? That's dedication :)

Do you need help?

Hello! I saw that you had some problems with the wiki. Do you still have these problems? Would you like any help?
13594403_18x18.png Jakel181 (talk | contribs) 21:53, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Yes,I would like some help because I'm still needed some help without Help prefix and bots.
└─post by Ahmetlii (talk|contribs) 08:04, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
Ah you mean the English help pages are missing, so you can't translate them, I will move some over from the English wiki. What do you want specifically with the bots?
13594403_18x18.png Jakel181 (talk | contribs) 11:21, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
Ok, I have added the missing translate pages to the help pages, and I brought over most of the missing help pages. I will try to bring the rest over later.
13594403_18x18.png Jakel181 (talk | contribs) 12:45, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
Okay, thanks.I don't want to something with bots because we aren't need them for now,I'm updating manually.A last question:I'll translate wiki's header and add something to main page. For example,I want to French and DACH wiki page style (because I think they're really helpful). How can I do these?
└─post by Ahmetlii (talk|contribs) 17:52, 26 April 2019 (UTC)
Ok do you know how to translate the header? What exactly do you want to add in the home page? Is this what you are looking for?

13594403_18x18.png Jakel181 (talk | contribs) 11:40, 29 April 2019 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── I want to navigation up the page(that create things;I don't know their names exactly),this yellow little box and sliding thing in middle of this photo(not warning). For translating,I will request an translate and help to their admins and I will use Google Translator.

Note Note: In DACH wiki,I don't understand category subject.

└─post by Ahmetlii (talk|contribs) 20:19, 29 April 2019 (UTC)

Ok! For the little yellow box, you have to put some java code in MediaWiki:Common.js.
function Popup(){localStorage.clear(),newPopup(),document.getElementById("popupClose").onclick=function(){localStorage.setItem("closed",JSON.stringify({})),document.getElementById("popupbox").remove()}}function newPopup(){var e=document.getElementById("mw-content-text"),t=document.createElement("div");"popupbox","20px","calc(100% - 80px)","#f9d44d","5px","#000000","calc(0% + 20px)","calc(0% + 20px)","300px","fixed","0px 1px 5px black","10","0.5s cubic-bezier(0.43, 0.02, 0.52, 0.96)",t.innerHTML='<img src="" style="float:left;height:50px;padding-right: 20px;"/><button id="popupClose" style="float:right;background-color: transparent;cursor: pointer;border:none;"><u>X</u></button></html> <div style="line-height: 1.7em;color: black;font-size: 16px;font-weight: bold;">YOUR TITLE HERE</div><hr>YOUR TEXT HERE.',e.appendChild(t)}window.onload=function(){if(localStorage.getItem("closed"))try{var e=JSON.parse(localStorage.getItem("closed"));>e.hiddenOn&&Popup()}catch(e){Popup()}else Popup()};

You can test it in your common.js file. Do you need help understanding the code? For the sliding thing, I used the gallery tag as seen here: <gallery mode="slideshow"></gallery>. Here is an example: User:Jakel181/Sandbox :). To translate the header, you have to translate this file. Do you have a GitHub account? If not that is fine. :) Also what do you mean by category subject? Can you show me where you are seeing it?
