The help screen is a feature in Scratch that briefly describes how different blocks work. Every block in Scratch 1.4 has its own help section.

Features

Every help screen features an example script with text by each block. Most have a short summary of one of the features. Some of them feature an image of what should happen after building the example script.

Opening and Using the Help Screen

To open the help screen, right-click the block you wish to receive help for, and select "help" at the top of the menu (above the gray bar).

How to access the help screen.

The help screen for the block will then show up. You can move it around by holding the left/right button down and moving the mouse. Note that holding down any key on the keyboard will not affect this. To exit, click the "OK" button at the bottom of the screen, or press the Enter (Return on Mac) key.
