Template:Commons/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:Commons (see that page for the template itself). It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template should be used when a file was reuploaded from Wikimedia Commons.

Usage

Parameters:

1. The name of the original file on WMC (with the File: prefix and the extension). If not specified, defaults to the current filename.
2. The user on Wikimedia Commons who originally uploaded the file. This parameter is optional.
