Template:Equation/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:Equation (see that page for the template itself). It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This equation turns text that a user specifies into italicized text. This simulates the text of math equations. Note that this template will not evaluate the expression for you (in which case, see Help:Calculation).

Example

Some example usages are:

Note:

When encountering problems, like when the template shows {{{1}}}, you must place it as a property in the parameter "1". Therefore, {{Equation|x+y}} turns into {{Equation|1=x+y}}. This forces the template to show all the text.
