Template:Faq/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:Faq (see that page for the template itself). It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template inserts whatever text it is passed into a division of class "faqshortanswer".

Examples

Method 1

{{faq|You delete your account by going to "Account Preferences" and selecting "I want to delete my account".}}

Result:

You delete your account by going to "Account Preferences" and selecting "I want to delete my account".

Method 2

You can optionally control where the page is sorted in Category:FAQ by specifying the title in cat=(your alphabetization here).

When the title is "Scratch Wiki:Hello" without cat=hello, the page will appear under the "S" section

With cat=hello, however, the page will appear under the "H" section.

Method 3

You can optionally not include the page in Category:FAQ by specifying cat=no.

Result:

You do this in the second parameter.

There is no noticeable change, but the page using this template will be suppressed from being put into Category:FAQ by specifying this.
