Template:Incorrect Title/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:Incorrect Title (see that page for the template itself). It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

Due to MediaWiki restrictions, article names cannot have the symbols #, <, >, [, ], |, {, or }. Also, article titles that start with a lower case letter are disallowed. If you want to create an article that has a restricted symbol in its name (i.e. "Costume # (block)"), use an alternate name (i.e. "Costume Number (block)") and put this template at the top of the article.

Example

Costume Number (block) The correct title of this article is Costume # (block). The change of name is due to technical restrictions. Costume # is a block that returns the costume number. It is only available for sprites.
