Before you start
Note: | Your language level of es-2 does not qualify you to edit the Spanish wiki, unfortunately. Please focus on Albanian instead. |
Welcome! Before you get started I must instruct you in the way that this wiki works. First, please read this page to learn how wikis work in general. Next, heed the following instructions.
Your focus for now will be translating pages from English to Albanian. (I will create the Albanian namespace in a few minutes.) You should not worry about creating any pages specific to the Albanian wiki yet; instead, focus on translating.
When creating a page to be translated, you must follow the steps below. Let's say you want to translate the page Eng:Blocks. According to Google Translate, "blocks" in Albanian is "blloqe".
- Create the page Sqi:Blloqe.
- The contents of the page must be copied from the Eng: page.
- Make sure that the page has
{{:Eng:Blocks/translate}}
at the top.
- Edit the page Eng:Blocks/translate
- If there is already a line that looks like
|Sqi=
, change it to|Sqi=Blloqe
- If not, add the line
|Sqi=Blloqe
just before the line that looks like}}
- If there is already a line that looks like
- Start translating any English text into Albanian.
- When linking to other pages, always link with
Sqi:
before the page name - When using translated templates, always transclude with
Sqi/
before the template name - When categorizing pages, always categorize with
Sqi/
before the category name
- When linking to other pages, always link with
While you are doing all this, start looking on Scratch for more people to help you - editing a wiki is not a one-man job.
Good luck editing!
